~@@@@~

To the fore, and upon the breach
Not with scabbard drawn
nor Damasque steel a glinting
But merely with the shield of creed
And the strength of believe

Not to assail a redoubt of stone
Amidst the withering hail of iron
But to best the bastions of doubts
To plant the banner of fortitude

Not to slay
And heap upon the throne of Hades
Proffered skulls of the vanquished
But to rip asunder the veil
of ignorance
of those who tread in their sleep

There are many amongst us who are enamoured of the idea of being allowed to speak freely. The problem with that is that a large proportion of us also believes that speaking freely ends at that and that alone. That there are no consequence or requirement that would be imposed upon the freely spoken of idea and the speaker.
