CNY

In comparison, Chinese New Year is not as hectic as Hari Raya for me (though money-wise output is always > than input, if you know what I mean).

First Day CNY went to Grandma-in-law house (sort of the HQ where all other 'younger' relatives come for visit) wearing short-sleeve red shirt and looking like one compact ang-pow. Miki wore his new Polo-T and a new Nike shoe while Lena her white maternity dress (in comparison to HR, the family usually have "themed outfit" making them look like what Lena called a "walking curtain").

Had some delectable thin egg noodles and seafood specially cooked by grandma (gotta be Halal, see) while all around others ate "porkish-looking" meals. Did not consume even a drop of alchohol (as in beer) or participate in the mahjong game that was going on. Spend most of the time slumped at the sofa talking to Roger (that's Ivy's hubby) about the construction industry and illegal immigrant (wowee, me a walking Business Time - though we were both actually making big wide general most probably untrue sweeping statements about the topic). Then again Roger is a successful businessman, so perhaps he knew his stuff while meself was picking facts and figures from thin air. And good thing about Roger is that he speaks his mind, something which is a rarity at my workplace. A refreshing conversationalist that Roger is.

Ate some heaty tits tid-bits and drank a considerable amount of Coke (please, this is not a statement endorsing Coca-Cola) and was actually enjoying meself.

Went back home earlier this time as grandma looked very tired and sleepy. Actually everybody were sleepy. A sleepy New Year, it was (and I better stop this Yoda-speak soon). :p
