MAYA 5 Launch

Hehe. Went to the MAYA 5 launch today at EMBASSY, Restaurant. Bar Entertainment (Esplanade Mall). Before I get into the Launch itself, lemme just say that having a product launch at a pub is cool. Especially when the pub has a mezzanine floor that is all glass and ladies wearing skirt and with voyeuristic inclination will find themselves at home. But I am digressing.

MAYA version 5 Launch. Me being a CG wannabe wanna learn all there is to know about Computer Animation so as to achieve fame and fortune by way of becoming a 3D animation guru. Which self is not. Truth be told, self can't even put together a decent 2D animation. But hope springs eternal. And attending seminars, workshops and product launches make self feel INTO the community. Getting the same vibes and grooving to the same tune as all other CG gurus. OK, sort of.

MAYA v.5 can even export to macromedia .swf format! The presentation on the smooth collaborative workflow between Adobe & MAYA was really astounding, really smooth how these two softwares (Adobe & MAYA|Wavefront) complement each other. Hmmm...salivating at the thought of Indesign-Photoshop-Go-Live & MAYA combination...yummy...
